Trip to Dabong

   Hi, my name Wan Nur Ainshah. The begin of this story, one morning our family went out to eat at the Nasi Kerabu Tok Sadang restaurant which went viral because the food was delicious and tasty. My father started our conversation while eat, my father raised the holiday issue because my father saw his children stressed because this year they will go through a big exam which is UPSR and SPM.

 My father made a desion to go holiday but only a short holiday. While we talk out about where we want to go out of the blue we saw an advertisement about a trip to dabong on the phone. We contact the admin number on the advertisement to ask more about the trip,the package provided, and the payment rate. Admin patiently explained carefully about the trip to Dabong. We decide to take package I day because it just a short holiday. After talking with all the family members, my father told my older sister  to buy a train ticket from Wakaf Baru to Dabong because we all want to enjoy and feel the experience of riding the train together.

 At night we packed some necessities to take with us to the Dabong such as clothes to play in the river and some food to fill the stomach when we are hungry like bread, sparkling water and some of snack, also not forget to bring some medicine.we sleep early at 9.00 p.m. because we gonna wake up early in the moring tomorrow to go station train at Wakaf Baru.

The clock showed 3.30 a.m. exactly we got up to get ready and left home at 4.15 a.m. and arrived at the wakaf baru train station at 4.45 a.m. our family waited for about 15 minutes for the train to appear near the station, our family was very excited at that time because this was the first time we boarded a train to go to Dabong. We saw many people waiting for the arrival of the train to go on vacation too. after the arrival of the train we were waiting for, we rushed to get on and find our seats. The time it takes to get to Dabong is around 2 hours so we will perform the subuh prayer on the train. Meanwhile everyone on the train is sleep I can see by the window the true nature which is the tree, the sky and the nature sound.

After 2 hours on the train around 7 a.m. we have reached our destination which is Dabong. When we stepped out of the train we called the agent to come and pick us up at the Dabong station with the car. We had time to take pictures while waiting for the arrival of the agent at the station. We took pictures with the trains with the banner I love Dabong and the station Dabong banner as a sign of presence at Dabong. After a few minutes, the agent came with an Alza type car that fit the five of us. we call the agent as Cik Na. First, Cik Na will take us to fill our stomachs first. the name of the shop is Nasi Dagang Dabong, it is only a village shop, but it tastes good and is good to be eaten on an empty stomach. we order nasi dagang ikan and hot milo.

After 30 minutes passed we headed to exactly the 2 main places to visit in dabong which is the gua ikan. it takes about 10 minutes from the stall. before we get to the Gua Ikan we expect just the usual cave but in that cave Cik Na show us a interesting about the cave and yes there is replica in the fish cave which is shaped like different types of fish heads and inside there are also lights to make it easier for visitors to enter the cave. we also take a picture over here to creat a new memory together.

Next we went to the main place in Dabong which is Gunung Stong. In this mountain there is a waterfall that is the signature of gunung stong. for those who reach the mountain will definitely feel calm because there are green plants and the sound of the waterfall and there is a sign board “I love Gunong Stong” which can be an experience to get there, Gunung Stong can be climbed there but it is necessary to hire an agent who can be held accountable to take us to the top.

We were there around 9 am. we have gone to Agro Resort Dabong where there is river water. we had time to play fly fox and riding the motorbike ATV wandering around one Agro at 11 o'clock we left to go to Sungai Kenerong . It is also about 10 minute from Gunong Stong. After arriving at the Sungai kenerong we rushed to change clothes to bathe in the river. while we were having fun bathing, a group of firemen came to give us advice to always be aware of the environment such as water currents, if the rain start being heavy stops bathing, adults always have to watch the children in care and if anything happens call directly to 999. Cik Na has prepared 1 mat specially for us to rest while waiting for the next destination.

After change the wet clothes at clock 1 pm Cik Na came and taking us to one restaurant, there is a lot of peple and visitor over there. Next Cik Na has reserved a table for us. This restaurant name Mee Udang. I notice this restaurant being viral on the tiktok because the mee udang is soo good and delicious. About the price I think it cheap.for the price I think it can be accepted as cheap because 1 bowl is only 15 ringgit including 5 large prawns. and the water there is provided for free for all customers.Talking about the shrimp, it tastes really fresh, the sweetness from the shrimp water may be the reason why the restaurant has become a frenzy for visitors to try it.

At 2 o'clock after finishing the zuhur prayer, we were sent by Cik Na to the train station to return to the station Wakaf Baru we also taking a picture with Cik Na and give her some tips because she really helpful and kind to us. After train have arrive we get going in the train and we get sleep in the train because too much energy have out from our body. We arrive at station wakaf baru at 4 p.m. and get home at 4.45 clock

In conclusion, this short holiday trip was well spent and we as a family spent time creating new memories in our family life. this is the most meaningful and unforgettable event for me. I feel happy and excited because I can get a new experience even if it's just a short holiday. I hope we can do it again even though small group.
